OMK enterprises can be seen as two large divisions – pipe and metallurgical. The overall number of OMK employees exceeds 25 thousand people.
OMK Pipe Division
United Metallurgical Company's Pipe Division United Metallurgical Company's Pipe Division comprises Russia's major pipe producers: Vyksa Steel Works (VSW), Almetyevsk Pipe Plant (APP, a leading pipe producer in the Middle Volga Region), and Trubodetal (Chelyabinsk, one of the largest producers of pipeline fittings in Russia and the CIS). Pipes manufactured by these companies are used for the construction of Russia's major oil and gas pipelines, the North European Gas Pipeline, and the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean Oil Pipeline. Vyksa Steel Works is the world's largest producer of solid railroad wheels, accounting for 66% of the Russian solid wheel market. For many years, VSW and APP have played a leading part in the Russian economy. These companies' equipment and technologies are based on the latest scientific and technological achievements of the Russian and foreign pipe production.
OMK Metallurgical Division
United Metallurgical Company's Metallurgical Division OMK's Metallurgical Division comprises Chusovoy Metallurgical Works (Perm Territory), Gubakha Coke (Perm Territory), Casting and Rolling Complex (Nizhni Novgorod Region) and Shchelkovo Metallurgical Works (Moscow Region). As leading product suppliers, the companies of the Metallurgical Division play an important part in the development of the Russian economy. Products of OMK's Metallurgical Division are in demand in the Russian and international markets. OMK built the Casting and Rolling Complex in the Vyksa District, Nizhni Novgorod Region in 2008. The commissioning of CRC Phase 1 make it possible to provide the electric-weld pipe workshops of Vyksa Steel Works and Almetyevsk Pipe Plant with high quality hot-rolled steel coils for the production of small- and medium-diameter pipes complying with international standards. The annual capacity of CRC Phase 1 reaches 1.5 million tonnes of coils. It is planned to increase its capacity up to 3 million tonnes and expand its assortment of products.
