Almetyevsk Pipe Plant
The Almetyevsk Pipe Plant was founded in 1966 to produce medium-diameter pipes right in the areas of oil and gas production. The Almetyevsk Pipe Plant is situated in the mid-Volga region and is one of the main pipe producers for the local oil and gas industries. Although the enterprise was established only 36 years ago, it was reconstructed three times within this time span; and now it is one of the most advanced production complexes in Russia. It is the only place in Russia where pipes with sizes ranging from 57 to 530 mm with double-sided corrosion-resistant coating are produced. In 1992-1998 the enterprise carried out radical workshop rehabilitation with the main manufacturing equipment upgraded. This allowed the range of products to be considerably expanded. In the last years the enterprise commercialized a 3D thermal treatment process for 89–219 mm pipes and the production of shaped pipes. The enterprise also commercialized a low-conductivity coating process for 108–219 mm pipes designed for heating mains. The overall production potential of the enterprise is 300 thousand tonnes of pipes per year.
