Gubakha Coke
Gubakha Coke was built in 1936. Today it is a modern high-tech complex with a complete chemical-recovery production cycle. The enterprise is the biggest by-product coke plant in the Perm Region that produces coal coke, pitch for electrodes and coal tar pitch. The plant has a developed transport network that connects it with all regions in the Urals, Central Russia and Siberia. In 2002 new coke-oven battery No. 2-BIS was put into operation. Its productive capacity is 650 thousand tonnes of coke per year and it complies with the highest process requirements. Since 2002, as a result of the rehabilitation of chemical process workshops, the enterprise has produced electrode pitch used for the manufacture of electrodes in the steelmaking industry, anthracite products for tire-making and a series of other chemical products.
